Following the success of DON’T LOOK BACK at the 2005 British Council Showcase in Edinburgh, we have embarked on an international tour 2006-2008 to re-create the piece at various sites abroad generously supported by the British Council in London and the host countries. We are indebted to support from The Open University and Arts and Business without which our participation at the Edinburgh Showcase would not have been possible.

dreamthinkspeak have also been awarded a strategic grant over two years by The Arts Council England to research and develop the company’s new work while also allowing time to plan the company’s longer-term artistic dreams. The company is grateful for this support and for the continued support of Arts Council England and Brighton and Hove Council for ongoing Organisational Development.

In February 2007, DON'T LOOK BACK was produced in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and in September and October last year the production was staged in Sibiu, Romania. In November 2006 the production was presented at Moscow’s NET Festival where it was winner of the Spectators' Choice Award, following its appearance in May at Exodos Festival in Ljubljana, Slovenia to great acclaim.
DON’T LOOK BACK also won a 2005 Total Theatre Award: Awarded for a dreamy and reflective site-responsive piece that is so harmoniously attuned to its setting that in each site in which it is presented, it is hard to believe it could exist anywhere else.

In December 2006, dreamthinkspeak visited Syria to collaborate with Koon Theatre Company on their new site-specific project, “A Corpse on the Pavement” written by Saadallah Wannous. While organising co-commissions abroad, we are also planning for three new productions between 2007 and 2009. One will be a project specially designed for proscenium arch theatres, one will be a major new site-responsive piece for landmark buildings in 2008 and one will be a visual piece inspired by the Renaissance for theatres-in-the-round.
