ONE STEP FORWARD, ONE STEP BACK
For the first time since 2005, last year dreamthinkspeak returned
to the UK with
a brand new site-specific production commissioned by the Liverpool Culture
Company.
The world premiere of One Step Forward, One Step Back
took place in Liverpool's magnificent Anglican Cathedral and used the vibrant
cityscape as its backdrop. One Step Forward, One Step Back
wove a magical journey for small groups at a time through the awe-inspiring
building, including areas never seen before by the public.
Inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy this production responded uniquely
to the Cathedral’s interior, whilst looking externally to the city beyond,
asking the question: What is Paradise?
Throughout, dreamthinkspeak’s visual language of film, music installation,
models and live performance interlinked and echoed to create a vivid and rich
journey. More
